For this image, I used the ruins as a background, with the angel masked on top. To make the angel blend-in with the original image, I utilized Variations to match the colours, and sharpened the whole image to make it look like a bright, sunny, hot day. Wanted the title to have a transparent background, I experimented with Illustrator, and ended up copy/pasting the text onto the final photo. To make this Vector Smart Object stand out, I then added a drop shadow to it. I feel this best achieved the desired effect: discrete and simple, yet still noticable and clear.
